Selected works by Ike Ferreira, exploring constructed and imagined spaces through painting and visual narrative.

Through constructed and imagined spaces, his practice reflects on how meaning is formed, negotiated, and internalised by the individual.

Born in São Paulo in 1982, the artist has a background in architecture and urbanism, with studies in photography and architecture between Brazil and Australia. After working in architectural practice until 2015, they shifted their focus fully to art following a move to Lisbon in 2016.

His work explores the relationship between human presence and the spaces we inhabit, examining how social, cultural, political, and behavioural structures shape both visible and invisible environments. Through constructed and imagined spaces, the work reflects on how meaning is formed, projected, and interpreted individually.
